Cyclone Interactive Enables Information Security Magazine 2002 Buyers Guide
Guide Listing the Year's Top Companies and Products
BOSTON, MA November 15, 2001 Cyclone Interactive, a forerunner in focused multimedia communications, announced the creation of enabling technology in development of Information Security Magazine's 2002 Buyers Guide. Technology developed by Cyclone enabled the web data entry of submissions to the Buyers Guide and easy transfer of data to publishing programs. Cyclone also designed the Information Security Magazine web site, aided in development of the 2001 Buyers Guide, and created a survey tool for the magazine's web site to deliver in depth customer research.
The web site allowed vendors to log on to the Information Security Magazine web site and enter company information, including name, product and product information. This information was stored and edited online by Information Security editors, in preparation for printing the Buyers Guide issue of the magazine. The on-site filtered information was then imported into the magazine's publishing program for layout and print production.
"In the development of our web site Cyclone Interactive added additional technologies to serve our Buyers Guide publishing needs that far surpassed our expectations," said Tim Garon, Publisher, Information Security Magazine. The ability to edit the content directly on the site, and seamless integration of that content into our publishing and layout environment, is making a big impact in our ability to generate this annual issue.
For the Information Security Magazine 2002 Buyers Guide Cyclone provided the back-end solution to ease the gathering of information and development of the guide, said Earl Dimaculangan, President of Cyclone Interactive. This type of solution can be adapted to serve any and all industries with a variety of purposes.
